本案嫌犯当地时间周一（29日）首次出庭，当天在庭上新公布的文件显示，上周在檀香山阿拉莫阿纳中心附近发生的化学液体袭击案中的中国公民受害者，可能会造成永久性毁容！
并且，她的身体大部分部位被烧伤，包括嘴巴和喉咙。
法庭文件中，警方还详细介绍了该袭击事件的恶劣性质，并指出29岁的嫌疑人塞巴斯蒂安·曼宽 (Sebastian Mahkwan)是警方“常客”。

曼宽被指控谋杀未遂，并于周一首次出庭。法官裁定他的保释金为200万美元。然而，这些新的法庭文件并未阐明袭击的潜在动机。
一位目击者称，受害者曾向其透露，她并不认识嫌疑人。尽管如此，警方尚未对此做出证实，也未对此次袭击是否为随机事件发表看法。
受害者已被确认为玛利诺学校（Maryknoll School）的一名中文教师。美中人民友好协会表示，25岁的受害人张丹英（Danying Zhang，音译）目前正在夏威夷参加一个交流项目。
